Kick-off Meeting – Aarhus, Denmark

The Cultural Synergy project began its journey in Aarhus, Denmark, where partners from Denmark, Norway, Finland and Romania gathered for the first transnational meeting. The atmosphere was one of curiosity, openness, and anticipation, as representatives from six organisations came together for the first time to shape a shared vision.

Cultural Synergy is an Erasmus+ initiative designed to address the growing shortage of skilled care professionals in Northern Europe. At the same time, it aims to strengthen cultural understanding and build sustainable bridges between Europe and the Philippines through joint stakeholder cooperation. The project seeks not only to respond to workforce needs, but to do so by acknowledging the human, cultural and educational dimensions that shape migrant integration in the care sector.

During the two-day meeting, each partner introduced their institution and expertise, outlining how their experiences would contribute to the project’s development. Discussions followed on project results, timelines, and the approach needed to ensure a coherent, high-quality implementation. Partners also worked together to define the management, communication and quality assurance procedures that will guide the project throughout its lifetime.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the review of the proposed visual identity. After thoughtful reflection, the consortium selected the official project logo, setting the tone for a cohesive and recognisable brand for Cultural Synergy.

The kick-off meeting marked more than the beginning of a timetable; it marked the formation of a partnership committed to working collaboratively, respectfully and innovatively. With shared goals and a strong sense of purpose, the consortium laid the foundation for meaningful progress in strengthening the care workforce through Filipino–Nordic cooperation.

Together, we build bridges for better care.
